There are some special actions that Chao get with having certain animal parts. For a complete list of these abilities go to the Animals page.

Good Actions

~If the Chao likes the character it's next to, it will bow and make a sound like "hiiiiii"
~Also Chao can prance up to a character that it likes and will start rubbing its head on the side of the character.

Bad Actions

~If your Chao was abused it will stand and shiver. It will make a sound like "Brrrr"
~If the Chao hates the character its next to it will hiss and make a sound like "Baaah"

Group Actions

~If a Chao starts to do something it was taught in the school, other Chao can join in if they get close ( i. e. playing an instrument).
~Chao can also turn on items in the gardens such as the TV or the radio, and again if other Chao get close they will join in and listen!

Group Actions

~When Chao get very hungry, it will walk over to a tree and pick up a fruit to eat.
~Chao can water trees (doing so will make the tree last longer) and then dance around it.

Expressions show the mood of the Chao (if it is smiling, then its happy). The default face of your Chao is random, but it is affected by its parents (if obtained by breeding), its past life (if reincarnated), or how it was hatched (if you threw it against the wall, it will be angry).

This is the normal expression of a Chao. All Chao look like this, but the mouth and eye expression changes according to the Chao's mood.

This is the "love" expression. Chao have a heart floating above their head and they are smiling. This expression usually appears when the Chao is happy or when it's mating season.

This is a look of confusion, but can also mean that the Chao is thinking of something.

This expression comes after the expression above. Most of the time, a Chao will "think" for a moment, then get this expression and do something like eat fruit or put on a hat.

This is not a very good expression because when a Chao has it, it means that they are tired or were abused.

When Chao have their eyes closed, it means that they are asleep. Some Chao sleep while sitting, so don't mistake it for an awake Chao!
