Tiny Chao Garden

The Tiny Chao Garden surely lives up to its name! This tiny garden is only big enough for one Chao! And one egg, which will hatch when no other Chao are in the garden. This garden is also home to two mini games, which info on can be found below. It also has a shop where you can buy your Chao things, and info for it can also be found below. The only things Chao do in this garden is walk around, sleep, and talk. The picture below shows the garden's layout:

Notice on the side theres a bar that shows stats, rings, and your Chao's name. The two things you should watch are the mood and Belly. Belly is how hungry the Chao is, don't let this go down much. Mood is how happy your Chao is, you shouldn't let this go down much either. A way to raise your Chao's mood is to pet him or de-weed the garden (weeds are the grass-like things that you see in the picture). It's importent to note that Chao can run away if their mood goes way down, but this is quite rare. Fruit, eggs, and rings obtained in Sonic Advance can be transferred to Sonic Adventure games, but not the other way around. Chao, however can go either way.

Mini Games

There are two games in the Tiny Chao Garden. There's Rock Paper Scissors and a Card Matching game. Go to the bottom of the page for a video that shows these games in action.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

This is my favorite of the two games. In this game, several cards move in a square, and when they get to the bottom, you shoot them with your own cards. Obviously, since it's called "Rock, Paper, Sizers", these cards have the shape of a hand making the proper gestures, and you need to shoot them with the proper card.

Card Matching Game

In this game, you see a bunch of cards with pictures of fruit. After a few seconds, they get turned over, and a Chao walks by and pushess them around. If you press the "A" button you can trip your Chao and make him flip over the card (only once can you do that, though). When the Chao is done, you need to match up each card with its mate (there's two of each type of card). Also, if you pick the wrong mate, you lose a life, which you have three of.

Items

To open the store, press the "L" button. There are seven fruit, one egg, and one toy (until you buy all three) sold at all times. There are three toys. The first, a trumpet (1000 rings), the second, a rubber duck (2000 rings), and the third, a TV (8000 rings).
